JV's Wood Turning
Heirloom Turnings from Native and Exotic Woods
#253. Natural edge Curly Ash. I was able to keep the bark on this piece. Beautiful amber colored and wavy grain, with a subtle curly  enhancement, this piece will stand out in the background.
8 1/4"x 5 1/2". $300.00

#280. Highly figured Ash Burl vase fitted with a 1"x7" insert for live flowers, this one's got colors and figure seldom seen. For someone special. Roses not included.
8 1/4"x4". $140.00

#325. Nicely shaped Cherry footed calabash style bowl with a very tight grain. I picture this one full of pistachios. But not for long.
7 3/4"x 4 3/8". SOLD
#324. One of my "Third Eye" series, the tight knot near the rim keeps watch on things. This would be a great candy dish, or even pot pouri. Food safe finish, as all my pieces.
7 3/4x 3 7/8". SOLD
#326. Here's a very large Cherry wide open, tulip shaped salad or fruit bowl. Lots of character, including "bird peck" markings, this will
age beautifully into a deep cherry color.
14 5/8"x 4 3/4". SOLD

#327. The colors and grain patterns in this very large Ash tulip shaped bowl jump right out at you. Turning this one was a treat as the character revealed itself.
14 3/4"x5 3/4". SOLD

#283. Spalted Maple vase with a few worm holes in a classic shape. 1"x7" insert accepts live flowers. Dried flowers look great in it, too.
11"x4". SOLD

#245. A very large Walnut bowl, all  heartwood, from a very large walnut tree in Moravia, NY. Double flared contour and centered grain pattern make this one a standout.
14 1/4"x 6". $450.00
